Description4% Consol Bond Coupon of 1907.
This 50¢ coupon is from the Four Percent Loan of 1907. The coupons were redeemed quarterly with the first payment due in the final quarter of 1879. This Very Fine coupon has a portrait of William H. Seward and is from a $50 bond of that issue. There is also speculation that coupons from this issue circulated to pay small debts. This coupon is for the third quarter of 1881. We have seen only a handful of the 50¢ coupons for the $50 bonds over the years.
