    Excessively Rare New Mexico Territory Postal Note

    Albuquerque, NM- Postal Note 2¢ June 28, 1894
    A wonderful new discovery from the CA Dolph & Son collection, where this was an unexpected find in a holding which had been assembled during the 1930s and 1940s. This is the first example we have ever offered from the New Mexico Territory, which was missing from even the extensive collection of Postal Notes we sold in January of 2009. This Type V note is dated June 28, 1894, and was issued only two days before the final day Postal Notes were sold to the public. Any estimate here is just a guess, but if rarity, condition and desirability are any guide, expect this outstanding Uncirculated example to reach or exceed...
