Description
Possibly Finest Known Series 481 $10 Replacement.
Series 481 $10 First Printing Replacement PMG Extremely Fine
40.A seldom seen first printing replacement. The Chambliss reference tells us that there are only a paltry six replacements documented for this denomination and series and their average grade is Very Good. The PMG Population Report shows that only 2 other Series 481 $10 replacements have been graded. This note is the highest graded of that trio. One of those two, is a second printing graded Very Fine 20, that is also offered as part of this incredible collection. This is the lone first printing replacement we have ever handled, with a second printing graded PCGS Fine 12 in 2015 realizing $1,410. PMG has noted minor repairs, but that does little to diminish this notes' likely pole position in the condition census.
