    Description

Fr. 351 Superb Gem New 68PPQ - The Finest Graded By Either Service

Fr. 351 $1 1891 Treasury Note PCGS Superb Gem New 68PPQ.
Both services have graded a few 67s, but this is the only 68 that has been made by either of them. There is no need to elaborate on the note's quality, as all of the superlatives are covered by the 68 grade and PPQ qualifier. With over 2,000 in total known in Track & Price, one would expect more pieces in the highest grades. Not only is this the single 68 in existence, it has been over two years since a 67 has reached the auction block. The last few 67's to sell have realized $3,500-$7,000 between 2009 and 2015. Unique grade rarities are notoriously difficult to estimate accurately...but never fearing a challenge we will go with...
