    Lovely Choice New 63PPQ $10 1880 Silver

Fr. 289 $10 1880 Silver Certificate PCGS Choice New 63PPQ.
This beauty is part of the small hoard broken up decades ago that has supplied collectors with the only known Uncirculated examples of this Friedberg number. This note is beautifully fresh and totally original, with lots of boldly evident embossing. The colors are spectacular and the only thing separating it from the full Gem designation is the bottom face margin, which although rather tight, is clear of the note at all points. In years past, Uncirculated Fr. 289's turned up on a fairly regular basis, but, as Track & Price reports, only one Uncirculated Fr. 289 has been offered at public sale since 2010.
