    Description

    Boldly Printed 1896 $5 Educational

Fr. 268 $5 1896 Silver Certificate PCGS Gem New 66PPQ.
The highly sought-after "PPQ" suffix appears on the front of this freshly inked Educational Five, attesting to its Premium Paper Quality. If we were to guess what limited the grade of this note to 66, we would presume it's the slightly skewed face margins, as the note certainly seems to have the attributes of a "7" or better. The colors are exceptionally bold, with plenty of eye appeal displayed. A lovely piece that would please any collector seeking an original example of what may be the single most popular design type.
