    Description

    Lovely Gem $5 Educational

Fr. 268 $5 1896 Silver Certificate PCGS Gem New 66PPQ.
A lovely Ed Five, with great paper originality, bright colors, excellent centering of both sides and easily seen original embossing. The margins are rarely found any larger for the type, and the inks are as deep as one will find with unmistakable paper wave visible through the holder. While not particularly rare, $5 Educational notes are considered to be the peak of artistic execution on Federal Currency, and high grade examples are always en vogue resulting in strong premiums at auction.
