    Description

Fr. 248 $2 1896 Silver Certificate PCGS Gem New 66PPQ.
A most delightful example that is as visually pleasing as any note we have offered for the issue. Large side margins and impeccable originality are noticed. The Two Dollar Educational Note features a large central vignette titled Science Presenting Steam and Electricity to Industry and Commerce. An interesting aside that few people ever notice is an engraving error on this note. The young figure representing Electricity has six fingers on their left hand. Sure to please its new owner.
