    Description

    PCGS 65PPQ Educational Deuce

Fr. 248 $2 1896 Silver Certificate PCGS Gem New 65PPQ.
A lovely, broadly margined Educational Two. The original embossing can be easily seen through the third-party holder, and the note has earned PCGS's "Premium Paper Quality" comment. Fr. 248 was always thought to be scarcer than 247 in high grade, but the grading service results of the last ten years indicate a census in high grade that is close to even. In any event, not very many Educational Twos of either number are as nice as this.
