The emergence of this note represents an absolute miracle of survival. After more than a decade of third party grading, the relative rarity of virtually all type notes has been established, with Fr. 94 now recognized as a much scarcer number. PMG has graded a total of only fifteen pieces to date, while PCGS has graded fourteen. Tellingly, every example that PCGS has slabbed to date has been graded Very Fine 30 or lower, and every piece that PMG has examined, with the sole exception of this example, has been graded lower than Very Fine 35. It is virtually unheard of that any example would emerge at this juncture of any mainstream Friedberg number which is nearly thirty points finer than its nearest rival, but that is indeed the case here.
