About two dozen 1875 $5 Legal Tenders with the Allison-New signature combination are known to collectors. Of those, most are in the Very Fine or lower grades and a lone Uncirculated note, a PCGS New 62PPQ, has been reported by the grading services. This piece likely spent most of its days as vault cash. The body of the note is free of folds, though there are some corner tip bends that are likely the result of some occasional handling by a bank teller. PCGS indicates some stains on the face, though each is insignificant on their own and are in general hidden in the devices.
