Unique Fr. 60 $2 Legal Tender Uncut Sheet

Fr. 60 $2 1917 Legal Tenders Uncut Sheet of Four PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ.
A gorgeous $2 Legal uncut sheet, this piece is only held back from a full Gem grade by a bottom margin that is cut a touch closely. Nevertheless, the sheet is superb, with bright color and paper. This is the only sheet ever rumored to exist for Friedberg Number 60 and is one of the five unique Speelman-White sheets we are offering this evening. Its pedigree as outlined in the introduction to these sheets is as follows: Sent to the Treasury Department in 1923; H. V. Speelman; Wayte Raymond; Col. E. H. R. Green; F. C. C. Boyd; John J. Ford, Jr.; Oscar G. Schilke; Ben Levin; Stanley Kesselman; Herman Halpern; to our consignor in 1993.
