    Description

Fr. 281 $5 1899 Silver Certificate PMG About Uncirculated 55 EPQ.
Paper originality stands out on the back of this Chief. Other attributes that are evident on this note are dark inks, white paper, and ample margins. This design is always on many collector want lists. The $5 Silver Chief note circulated during a time where the Wild West was very prominent in our nation's currency. Designs that were circulating concurrently were the Indian Head cent, the Indian Head Quarter Eagle, Half Eagle, Eagle Gold coins, and the $10 Bison Legal Tender note. The note in this lot represents the grade well and will satisfy the needs of the collector looking for a nice AU example.
