Extremely Rare Fr. 17d $1 Legal -- Serial Number on Seal
Fr. 17d $1 1862 Legal Tender PMG Choice Fine 15 Net.A moderately circulated example of this rare $1 Legal Tender variety where the Type 1 original Treasury Seal (no "spokes" around shield) has been printed over the serial number. To date, just five notes have been recorded for this Friedberg number, including this example. It has had some extensive repairs and has a bit of margin damage, but its ink colors remain quite bold and distinct. A more than acceptable example of this very rare Friedberg number variety.
