DescriptionFr. 17c $1 1862 Legal Tender PMG Very Fine 20.
The third and last example of this seldom available Friedberg number that we are offering this evening with each having different face plate numbers. The bidders are reminded that the depth of material in the Doug Murray holdings took 40 years to be assembled and that such a collection is not apt to be formed again in our lifetimes. Excellent color and an overall pleasing appearance are found on this moderately circulated specimen from Series 203 with face plate 20. This plate letter A note has in the top margin a partial paper guide line arrow at top center and to the right is an upside down plate number 31. A minor repaired edge split has been noted by PMG.
Estimate: $700 - up.
