    Description

Finest Fr. 162 Offering in Over a Decade

Fr. 162 $50 1880 Legal Tender PCGS Extremely Fine 45.
A Fr. 162 that has been a part of our consignor's collection for 31 years. Previously, we see that the note was in the 1983 Memphis International Paper Money Show auction. It is a charming XF example in a comment free holder that anybody would be proud to own. Also, as we study our archives, we see that it is one of the nicer examples of this Friedberg number to be a part of our auctions. It is also one of only 26 serial numbers listed in Track & Price with two of those claimed by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco for their collection.
    From the C.R. Chambliss Collection
