Wonderfully Bright PCGS Gem New 66PPQ 1901 Legal Tender

Fr. 122 $10 1901 Legal Tender PCGS Gem New 66PPQ.
By far the most common of the nine "Bison" numbers with well over two thousand examples listed in Track & Price. The original embossing is plainly evident. The colors are bright and flashy, and the margins and centering well support the assigned grade. Those factors make this the ideal piece to acquire for type, as no additional premium is attached. The note is gorgeous, with lifelike portraits of early nineteenth century explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark flanking a stately North American Bison. Columbia is depicted on the back. The margins, colors and embossing are just what one would expect for a PCGS note at this grade level.

Truth Seeker: The Life of Eric P. Newman (softcover)
A powerful and intimidating dealer of the 1960s, backed by important colleagues, was accused of selling fraudulent gold coins and ingots to unsuspecting numismatists. Who would go up against a man like that and, over the course of decades, prove the fraud? Who would expose a widely respected scholar as a thief, then doggedly pursue recovery of coins that the scholar had stolen from an embarrassed numismatic organization, all over the objections of influential collectors who had bought coins with clouded titles? Eric P. Newman would - and did. Reserve your copy today.
