    Description

1901 $10 Legal Tender Note, Fr-122, Gem CU. A beautiful Gem "Bison" note with excellent centering, bold embossing, and bright colors. Although for years it was assumed that the model for this note was Black Diamond, the animal on the reverse of the Buffalo nickel, there is currently a dispute over whether it might have been Pablo, a resident of the Washington Zoo. It would be hard to imagine a nicer example of this popular issue, and we expect spirited bidding from interested collectors.
