Fr. 1225h $10,000 1900 Gold Certificate PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
A note that has a "black out" bar printed over "Assistant" at center, "Deputy" printed before "Asst. Treasurer" at bottom center, and with "Federal Reserve Board" in a thicker printed font. It carries a date of November 22, 1916. It is also a member of the "Washington Issue" subvariety. The appearance of this note leads us to believe that this specimen escaped the fire that occurred on December 13, 1935 at the old Post Office building in Washington, DC (which is now the Trump International Hotel). The paper is white and the inks are ideal to go along with the boldly embossed back. It is definitely a nicely preserved example.

    Estimate: $4,000 - $6,000.
