Fr. 1225g $10,000 1900 Gold Certificate PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
A rare Friedberg number, as the overwhelming number for this design is 1225h. The Friedberg reference states that just ten examples are documented. This example is payable at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis branch in Chicago and also bears one of the earliest dates we have seen on these notes, that of November 1914. It is endorsed on the back by Governor Wold, who later signed the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank Notes. The seal color is bold, the signatures are strong, the paper is crisp, and the punch cancellations are symmetrically spaced. This note carries a historical significance well above the typical note of this genre.
