Fr. 1225 $10000 1900 Gold Certificate PMG About Uncirculated 50. According to PMG's population report this is one of the scarcest signature combinations for this type, although it has never been sublisted in the Friedberg reference. This is a bright example made payable to the Farmers & Mechanics Bank of Philadelphia with a September 17, 1908 date. Embossing is present on this uniface note. These are always found cancelled in some form, in this case punch cancelled, and of course are non-redeemable. There is none of the typical bleed through seen on these notes and plenty of original embossing is present. In our recently completed Signature Sale a PMG 53 EPQ cancelled note realized $4,600 and this beauty appears to be every bit as nice as that one.
