Bright & Attractive $500 Gold Certificate

Fr. 1217 $500 1922 Gold Certificate PCGS Apparent Very Fine 35.
Just over fifty examples are known extant of this one year type note. With bright and attractive paper as a background, the colors are as bold as one will find for the issue, let alone the Very Fine grade. Fortunately, none of the minor bends or folds that account for the grade affect the design, giving the note an appearance in the EF grade range. Since no Uncirculated examples are known and AU's have been known to top six figures, our estimate could prove to be quite conservative. The apparent grade is for a few repaired pinholes.
