DescriptionFr. 1215 $100 1922 Gold Certificate PCGS New 62.
A charming note that last appeared at auction at our FUN 2005 sale right before the two major third party grading services were beginning to accept notes. We have now seen this $100 in both raw and encapsulated states and it has not changed one iota over the intervening 13 years. Our description from 2005 still rings true today, "A perfect Gem save for the top margin, which comes just a hair tight at its right end. The colors are spectacular, including the often faded back, which on this note has the full brilliant orange color of the day it was printed." We see this note as one of the best 62 grade examples that you will ever find.
Estimate: $4,000 - up.
