    Description

Fr. 1215 $100 1922 Gold Certificate PCGS Apparent Very Fine 25.
The portrait of Thomas Hart Benton, Senator and Representative from Missouri (1821-1855) appears on this design which was issued for a number of years, being issued as Series 1882 and 1922. This example has circulated but retains good color with the gold colored design elements, the orange colored back, and the red Treasury Seal still clear and vivid. It is still a quite presentable piece despite a small repaired edge tear and some masking of a couple of stains.
