    Description

    Superb Gem $10 Gold Certificate

Fr. 1173 $10 1922 Gold Certificate PMG Superb Gem Unc 67 EPQ.
Picture frame margins surround this perfectly colored, fully brilliant $10 Gold Certificate. This type is notoriously poorly margined at the top and bottom, and to find a note with this centering is a near impossibility. This note is surpassed at PMG by only a single 68, and we seriously doubt a side-by-side comparison would show much difference. This note is so sharply printed that the central vignette of Michael Hillegas looks more like a photograph than an engraving. A spectacular and essentially irreplaceable type note.
