Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ $10 1914 Kansas City Blue Seal FRN

Fr. 940 $10 1914 Federal Reserve Note PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
While low-grade examples are common, notes in this soaring grade are scarce. The $10 Federal Reserve Note faces feature G.F.C. Smillie's portrait of Andrew Jackson at the center. The intricate green backs feature two vignettes at the ends: Farming at the left, engraved by Marcus Baldwin, and Industry at the right, engraved by H. L. Chorlton. This beauty is not on the census, but fits in a high-grade serial number run with examples certified by all services. Crackling fresh paper, perfect centering, and beautiful colors combine to make an arresting impression. Mike bought this in 1990, and it is certified for the first time.
    From The Mike Coltrane Collection.

    Estimate: $600 - $900.
