    Fr. 353 $2 1890 Treasury Note PCGS Very Choice New 64PPQ.
    Along with its very nearly Gem grade, this gorgeous Ornate Back 1890 Treasury Two has the low serial number A56. According to Track & Price, this note has no prior auction appearances but the serial number A51 in a PMG 64 holder sold for $36,800 in a 2007 auction. This note is right at the very edge of the full Gem grade. It has excellent margins, good color and clearly original paper surfaces. Between the two major services 129 Fr. 353's have been graded, with only 13 of them grading 60 or better. A significant Treasury Note destined to reside in a landmark collection.
