    PMG Gem 65 EPQ Ornate Back $1 Treasury Note

    Fr. 347 $1 1890 Treasury Note PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
    A gorgeous ace we last offered at our 2003 FUN auction. Our description back then before the emergence of the two major grading services tells it all, "A magnificent piece of currency, with beautiful freshness. The colors are perfectly bright, the original embossing readily apparent, and the centering of both sides very nearly perfect." Nothing has changed in the intervening years. The last example that we auctioned at this third party grade was a PCGS 65PPQ note that realized $14,100 at our 2017 CSNS auction.
