    A Very Nearly Perfect 1899 $5 Silver Certificate PCGS 66PPQ

    Fr. 275 $5 1899 Silver Certificate PCGS Gem New 66PPQ.
    Incredible color, broad margins, and easily seen original embossing highlight this lovely 1899 $5 Silver. Although this design type is relatively common, even in the Gem grades, the number of collectors in the pool of buyers always seems to outnumber the supply of gorgeous examples. While the note is accurately graded, in our opinion, we have seen equal examples in 67 holders from both services. An impressive and unusually nice Chief.
