Conservatively Graded and Strikingly Attractive Educational Deuce
Fr. 247 $2 1896 Silver Certificate PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.The central vignette on these gorgeous Educational Deuces is "science presenting steam and electricity to commerce and manufacture." On these notes, the name of the vignette appears directly below it at the bottom center. This particular note is printed so well that, with a glass, every letter is clean and crisp as is the smaller "Bureau of Engraving and Printing" that appears below it. It is hard to believe when viewing this note that there are five additional grades between this and absolute perfection. The note seems as nice to us as it could possibly be in every sense but margin size, and even the margins are large enough to support an extra point or two. We are extraordinarily pleased with the note itself, but somewhat disappointed with the grade. A great note fit for the finest of Educational sets.
