First Gem Offering in Seven Years

Fr. 220 $1 1886 Silver Certificate PCGS Gem New 65.
The Rosecrans-Nebeker signed 1886 $1 Silver Certificates with large brown and small red seals are the two rarest of the seven reference numbers that make up this type. They are nearly neck in neck in terms of rarity, and the earlier numbers are not often seen in high grade. Uncirculated examples average an appearance every two to three years, with the last Gem graded example offered over seven years ago. The paper is as bright as one will find for the type, with bright and bold inks.
