    Gem Unc 65 PPQ Fr. 164 - The Sole Certified Gem Example

    Fr. 164 $50 1880 Legal Tender PCGS Banknote Gem Unc 65 PPQ.
    Fr. 164 is represented in the Track & Price census by 250 notes--very few of which are at the upper end of the grading scale. In fact, neither PMG nor the "old" PCGS has ever graded an example of this Friedberg number at the Gem level. It has been almost ten years since a 64-graded note has appeared at public sale. This lovely new-to-the-census piece most certainly deserves its assigned Gem grade. It features wide margins all around, wonderful color, and pristine paper surfaces. A fantastic note for the ultimate Large Size Type collector.

    Estimate: $40,000 - up.
