    High-Grade Brilliantly Colored 1907 $1,000 Gold

Fr. 1219e $1000 1907 Gold Certificate About New. This note has never before appeared at public auction with its only prior public notice appearing when Larry Hanks advertised in the Trade Papers in 2003. It's a beautiful example of the type with broad margins, ideal centering of both sides, and perfect colors. The note could very easily be mistaken for a fully Uncirculated example. Even the bold back color remains fully bright on this note. For some reason, the orange backs of these higher denomination Gold Certificates seem to have lost their color far more rapidly than their lower denomination counterparts--not so with this beautifully bright example.
