    Bright, Clean, and Strictly Original PCGS 30PPQ 1918 $1000

    Fr. 1133-L $1,000 1918 Federal Reserve Note PCGS Very Fine 30PPQ.
    This San Francisco District 1918 $1000 Fed is a new piece to the Track & Price listing, bringing the total now known to 55, most of which grade far below this note. We have sold two PCGS 30s in the last half dozen years, one in September of 2008 for $25,300 and another in September of 2011 for $24,150. Several PMG and PCGS VF 25s have auctioned in the last few years and all have brought just either side of $20,000. Of the VF pieces that PCGS has graded, this is the only one with the important PPQ qualifier. The note is strictly original with vivid ink colors, excellent margins, white paper and extremely minimal soiling. Very likely one of the nicest $1000 VFs from any district.
