    Description

Extraordinary Cut Sheet of $100 Boston Red Seals

Fr. 1072a $100 1914 Red Seal Federal Reserve Note Cut Sheet of Four PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
An extraordinary cut sheet of $100 Red Seals, with each piece displaying a vivid red overprint, excellent centering, and spectacular eye appeal. It is the only cut sheet extant from a run of sixteen consecutive notes discovered thirty years ago and now widely distributed amongst collectors looking for just a single example for their high end type sets. Since our offering of this set in 2014 as part of the Greensboro Collection, no finer examples of the $100 FRN Red Seals have been offered at auction. We did offer a PMG 63 just a year after this set sold and it realized $30,550. With a lack of offerings and a Green Sheet value hovering above $40,000 per note, this set should easily top the six figure mark this evening. (Total: 4 notes)
