Philadelphia District 1918 $1000 Federal Reserve Note

Fr. 1133-C $1,000 1918 Federal Reserve Note PMG Very Fine 20 Net.
Track & Price reports only thirteen Philadelphia district Thousands extant from the mere 12,800 printed nearly a century ago. The majority of those come from one high grade run, with prices over the past decade ranging from $37,000 to $97,500, taking them quite out of reach for most collectors. This specimen is one of only six known in circulated grades, and fetched almost $13,000 when it last sold three years ago. PMG reports "Repaired, Stains Lightened," but the note faces up quite nicely and looks considerably better than its Net grade would indicate.
