    Strictly Original 1918 $500 Fed

Fr. 1132G $500 1918 Federal Reserve Note PCGS Very Fine 35PPQ.
A solid, lightly circulated $500 Fed that PCGS pedigrees to "The Rickey Collection." Few notes, particularly high denomination notes in this grade, earn the coveted PPQ designation. For whatever reason bank tellers and seemingly anyone else who owned a pen in the 1920s wrote all over most of these. This one escaped that fate and is utterly problem-free save for the light circulation that one would expect at the VF level. Neither grading company has seen an Uncirculated example of this note and this 35PPQ is well up in the census. Recent auction records right around this grade were primarily around $20,000 with one outlier at $32,000.
