    Description

New to Census $500 St. Louis

Fr. 1132-H $500 1918 Federal Reserve Note PMG Very Fine 30.
Nearly a decade has elapsed since the last St. Louis $500 has been offered at public auction. This example is new to the census which now includes six in total, with one permanently impounded in the Smithsonian. In 2005, we sold a raw F-VF for $29,900. This example has a few scattered pinholes and minor paper defects, but the devices remain clear on this high denomination issue.
