Fr. 1101 $100 1914 Federal Reserve Note PMG Extremely Fine 40
EPQ.An attractive Richmond FRN with easily seen paper originality, excellent inks, white paper, and full margins. Track & Price list a total of 31 serial numbers (with one duplicate entry) for Fr. 1101. We also noticed that the example in this lot has the highest serial number in that listing of E414045A. It has crossed the auction block only one time previously in 2016. Of the 30 different serials listed in T&P, only three have achieved the highly desirable EPQ or PPQ grade modifier. That low figure includes the $100 in this lot. A look at the PMG Population Report backs up that observation, as they have graded 22 examples with only three earning EPQ. This is a seldom encountered opportunity to acquire a note on this Friedberg number with the grade modifier that everybody desires.
