Elusive New York $100 Red Seal

Fr. 1073a $100 1914 Red Seal Federal Reserve Note PCGS Very Fine 20.
A rare Friedberg number that has been absent from our auctions for over eleven years and missing from any auction that we know of over the last eight years. Only fifteen examples in total have been reported, with three of those locked away at the Smithsonian, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and the ANA museum. The note we offer here is, save for a pair of uncirculated examples which have been off the market for over twenty years, the highest grade Fr. 1073a in the census.
