    Description

Bright San Francisco District $50 Red Seal

Fr. 1023b $50 1914 Red Seal Federal Reserve Note PMG Very Fine 25.
Fewer that two dozen examples of this rare Friedberg number are listed in the census, with only one listed as uncirculated and one reaching the AU level. This piece, which is new to the census and offered to the collecting fraternity for the first time, is nicely centered and bright for its assigned Very Fine 25 grade, with the only detraction a closed pinhole mentioned by PMG. The last offering of any Fr. 1023b came nearly three years ago, when we sold an identically graded example for $7,637.50.
