Elusive Fr. 763 $2 Atlanta FRBN

Fr. 763 $2 1918 Federal Reserve Bank Note PMG Very Fine 30.
This $2 Atlanta district note is another elusive FRBN with 41 examples currently recorded on Track & Price. The face plate has the Teehee-Burke and Bell-McCord signature combination. Mike acquired this from Mid-American Currency in 2007, and it is a new serial number to report. It is also the lowest non-star (removing one serial number that appears to be mis-reported) at F1009699A. This Very Fine 30 note is in the upper range of the condition census, which reports no Uncirculated notes. With balanced margins, it faces up beautifully and will be an excellent example for any set. Vastly underrated and essential for a specialized set of "Battleship" notes or Atlanta Federal currency.
    From The Mike Coltrane Collection.
