Hessler 45FD Fr. 224-25 $1 1896 Silver Certificate Front Proof PMG Superb Gem Unc 67 EPQ.In U.S. Essay, Proof and Specimen Notes second edition by Gene Hessler, the author states that he has recorded three of this face design number, that is the issued version of this design. Hessler 45FD is the final approved front design in black and white for Fr. 224-25. It is printed on India paper with the engraved signatures of Tillman and Morgan and mounted on cardstock. This is our first offering of this Hessler number with this Education $1 Proof previously being part of the Harry W. Bass, Jr. Collection. This Face Proof is well centered on the cardstock, and in turn, the Proof is also centered between four balanced margins.
