Description
$5 1902 Third Charter Progressive Proof Hessler 316.The far left three inches was printed on India Paper and attached to the cardstock. The next 1.5 inches wide segment was printed lightly directly onto the cardstock. Pencilled in the bottom left corner is, "Last - 12 March 1902." Stamped at the bottom of the back is the number "41224." This progressive Proof is the example plated on page 177 of U.S. Essay, Proof and Specimen Notes by Gene Hessler.
