    Description

    Fr. 191a PCGS VF 25

Fr. 191a $20 1864 Compound Interest Treasury Note PCGS Very Fine 25.
An elusive middle-of-the-book note with this being a refreshing example as it is in a comment-free third party holder. It has not been restored or repaired in any fashion. Our close scrutiny also discovers a note with premium edges and paper for the grade. The colors are excellent and that includes the bronze lettering that spell out its class of note at center, "Compound Interest Treasury Note." This piece is also one of the highest third party graded Fr. 191a's that we have been able to auction. It is a wonderful mid-grade note that would fit nicely into any high-grade collection.
