1864 $10 Compound Interest Treasury Note, Fr-190b, VF. A solid, problem-free example of this rare type. issued under the act of June 30, 1864, this particular example is dated August 15, 1864. This note is new to the census, which now numbers about 90 specimens. There are a number of folds that are present, but the print quality is excellent and the overprint has not oxidized to any noticeable extent. There is a tiny, expertly restored area in the lower left corner tip that is mentioned for accuracy. An ideal representative for the type, and certain to inspire spirited bidding.
