1882 $50 Gold Certificate, Fr-1195, Fine. An attractive example of this scarce type with much crispness remaining for the grade. There is a little soiling present from honest circulation, but the overall appearance is still quite pleasing. A few microscopic pinholes are seen when the note is examined closely, but they are not at all distracting. The 2001 edition of the Gengerke census lists only 44 examples of this issue in all grades. This problem-free specimen should find a home in an appreciative collection. Est. 800-1,000
