Fr. 1274SP 15¢ Third Issue PMG Superb Gem Unc 68 EPQ.
This hand signed Jeffries-Spinner Grant-Sherman face is attributed as a narrow margin specimen by PMG. In reality it is a cut down wide margined note where the margin size is equal to a well margined regular issue note. The 68 EPQ grade is the highest assigned to this number by PMG and is the only note to yet achieve that level. It could well remain at the top for years to come as these simply are never found this nice. The Greensheet values this at $1650 in 67, with no higher grade given. This 68 is in a class by itself and could easily realize double that number.
