Fr. 1273SP 15¢ Third Issue PMG Uncirculated 62 Net.
The net grade has been assigned for ink burn. Generally, an overused comment where one needs to turn and twist the note to detect the minor crack. Not so on this example. Much of the broad strokes of Spinner's signature have burned through the paper and are easily noticed. On a more positive note, these Fr. 1273SPs all trace their history to pink or green shields and generally show damage from dismounting. This note is free of that problem. It is also far brighter than these are normally found. We sold a near identical PCGS 62 in our 2016 FUN Auction for $2,115.
