Fr. 1272SP 15¢ Third Issue Fantasy Piece Very Good.
This piece is actually made up of a Fr. 1272SP Narrow Margin face and a Fr. 1272SP Narrow Margin Green Back glued together. Due to the Act of April 7, 1866 that forbade the portrait of any living persons being placed on United States Notes, the Grant-Sherman 15¢ notes were only produced as uniface specimens. This note is wholly intact and it is not separating as some of these "constructed notes" are prone to do. There will be no return on this lot for any reason.
